A very interesting work that once again sheds light on a portion of Italian jazz that aims to distance itself from the ‘easy’ rehashing of standards but strives – often with remarkable results, as in this case – to look ahead. These musicians deserve more consideration and visibility in festivals and, thanks to labels like Habitable, are able to publish their works.
