Piranha is a band that explores and researches through a blend of jazz, chamber music, non-European sound and minimalism.
The project maintains a coexistence between total improvisation and compositional elements, incorporating both conventional scores and graphic notations.
Each member of the trio contributes to enriching the sonic range by utilizing multiple instruments, emphasizing a poly-instrumental approach in service of musical and creative expressiveness.
In 2021, the trio released their debut album, also titled Piranha, published by the Portuguese label Habitable Records. The album received significant success both in terms of audience reception and critical acclaim.
